香港科技大学深港协同创新研究院实验室招募通知

       香港科技大学深港协同创新研究院（SHCIRI）现启动实验室招募计划。实验室位于深港科技创新合作区（福田保税区）长富金贸大厦40楼，共有2300平米，目前共有三间实验室待入驻。实验室旨在发挥科大在各个优势学科的技术优势，形成实验室集群。

SHCIRI是国家自然科学基金依托单位，广东省基础与应用基础研究基金依托单位。香港科技大学科研人员可依托SHCIRI申请中国国家自然科学基金、广东省自然科学基金，及河套深港科技创新合作区的特定项目。同时，SHCIRI亦于2022年获批深圳市博士后创新实践基地，并可联合招收博士后，以及协助申请深圳市在站博士后生活补助、科研资助。

具体情况如下：

1.申请要求

（1）香港科技大学在职人员；

（2）可以作为PI申请内地科研项目。

2.SHCIRI可供申请实验室情况

（1）19平米（干实验室）一间；

（2）46平米（干实验室）一间；

（3）81平米（干实验室）一间。

3.申请材料

（1）SHCIRI实验室申请表（附件1）；

（2）申请书（附件2）；

（3）如申请人在研究院无职称，需要同步提交《Application for Conferment of Academic Title》（附件3）获取SHCIRI身份。

4.申请时间

请于2023年6月16日前将申请材料发送至邮箱yfsong@ust.hk。

5.其他

（1）申请书将由专家评审小组共同评审；

（2）提供免费的实验室空间，但入驻团队应负责实验室的日常能耗费用支出等；

（3）SHCIRI的实验室位于办公楼中，不具备处理有害物质和动物实验的条件。

关于SHCIRI

2020年5月，港科大经校董会批准于深港科技创新合作区正式注册成立了香港科技大学深港协同创新研究院（SHCIRI）。SHCIRI作为一个独特的战略平台，致力于促进产学研深度融合，可以让科大教职员参与大型研发项目，争取大量的科研机会和资金，打造具有区域影响力的科研、创孵、教育平台，为国家经济、社会进步和深港科技创新合作创造长远价值。

The HKUST Shenzhen-Hong Kong Collaborative Innovation Research Institute (a.k.a. "SHCIRI") is now calling for applications for the laboratory space. The R&D labs of SHCIRI are located on the 40th floor of CFC Building at the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone, with a total area of approximately 2,300 ㎡. Currently there are three laboratories available and waiting for application. The aim of the labs is to pull technical strengths of HKUST and to form a cluster of labs. 

SHCIRI has been approved as the supporting institution by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and GuangDong Basic and Applied Basic Research Foundation. In addition to funding from various Mainland China resources, special research funding from the Futian District Government earmarked for Shenzhen-Hong Kong collaborative research in the Cooperation Zone will be made available to SHCIRI researchers. In January 2022,  SHCIRI has been approved as Postdoctoral innovation practice base, SHCIRI is qualified to recruit postdoc with local post-doctoral working stations, as well as apply for allowance and research fundings for post-doctoral fellows. 

Details of the laboratory space application are as follows:

1．Requirements 

（1） Current employed research staff of HKUST; and 

（2） Eligible to apply for government projects in the Mainland and act as project leader (PI).

2．Information on available laboratory space at SHCIRI 

（1） one 19㎡ dry lab

（2） one 46㎡ dry lab

（3） one 81㎡ dry lab 

3．Application materials

（3） If PI does not have a professional title in SHCIRI, he or she needs to submit the "Application for Conferment of Academic Title" (Appendix 3) to obtain SHCIRI status.

5．Others 

（1） The application materials will be reviewed by a vetting panel. 

（2） The laboratory space provided is free of charge, however the application team is responsible for the laboratory's daily utility expenditures, etc. 

（3） SHCIRI is housed in an office building that lacks facilities for handling dangerous substances, animals, etc.

About SHCIRI 

The HKUST Shenzhen-Hong Kong Collaborative Innovation Research Institute (SHCIRI) was officially established in May 2020 as an independent legal entity of the University in Futian District, Shenzhen. Riding on the state-level initiatives of the Greater Bay Area and the opportunities available in Futian District, with a view to enhancing HKUST’s overall position and capacities in the region and beyond, the Institute is envisioned as a unique and strategic platform for HKUST faculty members to participate in mega Research and Development (R&D) projects, to reach out for the vast research opportunities and funding, to strengthen knowledge transfer efforts leading to commercialization of research strengths and start-ups formation, and to carry out executive education programs.
